What is an Affiliate Program?

Our Affiliate Program allows you to refer people to Signup Systems using web links sent by email or displayed on your website, or by word-of-mouth and direct introductions. We pay you a commission for each individual or company you refer who becomes a customer and purchases a lease. We also pay commissions two levels deep so you can earn a commission by directly referring a customer and/or by referring an Affiliate who then refers a customer.

For web-based referrals you must use the proper linking technology, and for word-of-mouth referrals the person or company referred must mention you specifically to ensure the proper tracking takes place.

Why should I join?

There are tremendous reasons to join! First, you will make cold hard cash with very little effort! Second, if you currently have a sphere of influence, which includes event management businesses, you have the opportunity to earn a considerable immediate commission as well as ongoing residual income if your referral takes a lease, which includes monthly payments. Further, because we are certain that your referrals will benefit considerably from using our powerful event management systems, you will be in a position to greatly serve others by helping those businesses you refer to become more profitable and to run their businesses more efficiently; therefore the will grow and offer their services to a greater number of people, which conversely will directly affect the growth, abundance and prosperity of others!

Does it cost anything to become a member of Signup Systems' Affiliate Program?

No! It's absolutely free to join our Affiliate Program. There is no charge to apply and there are no minimum referral requirements. You can sign up today and begin referring people and earning commissions immediately.

Does my website qualify for the Affiliate Program?

All sites are welcome to apply, with exception to sites involved in or promoting illegal activity or objectionable content; please read the Affiliate Program Agreement for full clarification of unacceptable sites. There are no click-through or referral traffic minimums so whether your site is established or new, you're encouraged to apply. You do not even need to own your own website to participate in the program if you prefer only to promote us using word-of-mouth and email. You may even use your unique web link to post referral links on public forums, blogs, or other places which invite people to network and exchange information so long as you are not abusing the rules of those sites.

Our niche is fairly specialized so obviously you should only post your link where it is topically relevant. You are not paid for traffic but only for commissionable lease agreement fees paid by your referrals.

Can I join if I am not living in North America?

Yes. However, we pay all commissions in either U.S. or Canadian dollars depending on the currency receive from your referrals. At your request we can perform currency exchanges into either Canadian or U.S. dollars based on exchange rates and a small service fee.

How do I sign up?

Simply start by entering your email address in the sign up form at the top of this page and then complete the sign up process. You will be required to accept the Affiliate Program Agreement before we issue you your official tracking link. Once you've completed the sign up process you will be able to log into the Affiliate Program member's home page where you will be given your referral link and will find other useful resources to help get you started.

Payment

What are the ways an Affiliate can earn commissions from SignupSystems.com?

There are two principle ways you can earn commissions. We pay a commission fee as a percentage of the Initial Lease Fees your referrals pay us when purchasing a lease. This is a one-time fee paid by the customer based on the lease level they choose. However, if the customer upgrades to a higher-level lease and pays an additional Initial Lease Fee, you will then be paid an additional commission on that additional fee!

We also pay commission as a percentage of the Monthly Usage Fees incurred by our customers based on the usage of our software. This Monthly Usage Fee is principally based on the number of attendees they register using our system, although there are other factors that contribute to these fees; you receive a commission based on the final amount the customer pays for their Monthly Usage Fees. For details of what constitutes "usage fees" please see our pricing page.

The fact that we also pay out up to two levels of referrals (see below) could be interpreted as two more ways of earning commissions, since you could earn commissions on initial and monthly lease fees without directly referring a customer to us, but by referring another Affiliate who goes on to refer customers.

How many levels of commission does Signup Systems pay out on?

We presently offer two tiers of commission payments. The First Tier Affiliate is directly responsible for referring a customer to Signup Systems. The Second Tier Affiliate was responsible for referring the First Tier Affiliate. For instance, if "John" has many connections to suppliers of goods and services for event management companies but knows fewer event managers directly, he can still earn a considerable passive income by referring those suppliers to join our Affiliate Program. If any of the people John refers goes on to refer a customer, John would be the second tier affiliate and would earn commission. As an example, if John refers "Ashley" who then refers a company that becomes our customer, Ashley would be the First Tier Affiliate, and John would be the second tier. Both John and Ashley would earn commissions.

By having two levels of commission payout, you are rewarded for referring event management companies themselves, or any company who's in a position to serve and support event management companies.

How often do Affiliate Program Members get paid?

Commissions are paid out between 30 to 45 days after a referral pays Signup Systems for the Initial Lease Fee or Monthly Usage Fees. This time allows us to confirm payment before issuing a payment to you. In the event that the Initial Lease Fee relates to our highest-level lease, delays in payment may occur depending on the terms of that agreement which may vary by customer.

How will I receive payment?

We pay all commissions by check in either U.S. or Canadian dollars depending on the currency recieved from your referrals. At your request we can perform currency exchanges into either Canadian or U.S. dollars based on exchange rates and a small service fee. However, we may make other payment forms available to you such as e-checks or PayPal in the future at our discretion.

What is the minimum amount of commission paid out?

We pay commissions out which are greater than $100. This potential delay in payment only relates to Monthly Usage Fees since commissions on the Initial Lease Fees will always be greater than $100. When the accrual of commissions on Monthly Usage Fees exceeds $100 during any payment period, we will notify you and mail a check.

Why have I not been paid?

Reasons you may not have received payment could be: 1) you have not yet met the minimum commissions; 2) it has not been 30 to 45 days after Signup Systems received payment for a commissionable fee; 3) you have not earned any commissions; 4) the money is in the mail; 5) your commission is being investigated for breach of agreement (such as when an Affiliate Program member tries to refer a business they are emplyed by or own).

Can I have my company paid the commissions rather than have them paid to me personally?

Yes. We anticipate that the majority of our Affiliates will be professionals; therefore, we allow commission payments to be made to either a company or a private individual entirely at your discretion. During the sign up process you will be given an option to indicate who you would like the "payee" to be on your account. A link to let you change the payee exists in the Affiliate Program Member's section, which can be updated at any time if you decide to add a company or change the payee to yourself.

Can I offer all or part of my commission to my referrals as a kickback or discount?

As a First Tier Affiliate you can use part or all of your commissions as a kickback or discount to your referrals. That company cannot emplot you directly, otherwise our customers would only need to become Affiliate Program members themselves and then "refer" their own businesses. But if you are a private individual or organization serving other companies in the event management field, you could eliminate or discount your 20% commission as a kickback to customers you are already in a profitable relationship with, for professional good-will measures.

We do not want our Affiliates to get into competition with each other; therefore, it is not acceptable to offer these discounts in writing on your website, but you can offer them in private communications with the businesses you wish to refer. You must contact us independently to arrange for the discount. In the case of a discount you will be required to sign an agreement waiving the commission you want to offer your referral.

Reporting and Tracking

Does the Affiliate Program offer reporting tools for Affiliates?

At this time of writing, we only have two simple tools for use with the Affiliate Program. We intend to improve our set of Affiliate tracking tools as the program grows. We have a click-tracking tool, which you can use to see the number of click-throughs generated from your unique referral link, as well as the number of referrals who are entered into our database and are therefore "leads." If you are using marketing techniques to pre-sell Signup Systems to your referrals, you can use this tool to measure changes in your marketing copy to see if those changes lead to higher click-through rates or greater lead conversion percentages.

We also have a simple report page, which shows you some very simple and non privacy-invasive information about the leads in our database referred by you. If any of your leads generate sales we will contact you to inform you of pending commissions.

How will you know that click-throughs and word-of-mouth referrals came from me?

You must use your unique referral link provided on the Affiliate Program Member's home page, or a proper link constructed using the required rules to ensure that people clicking those links from a website or email can be tracked properly. When a person clicks on your link we store bits of information with their web browser called "cookies," which our website collects when your referrals fill the forms out. A very small percentage of people have cookies disabled, which would then negate our ability to track them.

These referral cookies are used to generate a reference number which is prominently displayed on the contact page so when they call our office, we can request the reference number from them and ensure you are credited with the referral. Naturally, if you make word-of-mouth referrals you will need to do your part and ensure they mention you or your company when they contact us. However, be rest assured that we will always ask how a customer heard about us during the sales process so that we can give credit where it's due.
